Last week we took the electric Pirate Touring Boat on the Basingstoke Canal, in stunning sunshine. It really helps to get some different camera angles, and our intrepid drone pilot, Ella, had those covered with her DJI Phantom GPS-controlled drone.
After 4 hours on the canal, with 4 people on board for most of the time, the battery was still at 66% - quite amazing, given that we were cruising at probably an average of 3 knots.
Whether you are looking for an electric launch, or a boat for your boat hire lake, we reckon we have the answer! The boat looks terrific, and it was very noticeable how the flexible space aboard the boat allowed a certain amount of social distancing without undue stress - Ella and I in the bow, our guests in the middle and back of the boat! The picnic table rotates on its stand, making the space amidships even more flexible.
